Who is the Roaring Fork Gay & Lesbian Community Fund?
While the RFGLCF is best known for producing Aspen Gay Ski Week it also provides critical services to support the development of a strong local gay and lesbian community. The RFGLCF is a resource for members of the local GLBT community. We sponsor educational forums, field referrals for incidents of discrimination, hate crimes, or other concerns, and work to bring together the varied communities of the western slope of Colorado.
In 2008 we started a program in the local schools entitled SPIR&T: Students Promoting Individuality Respect & Tolerance. The organization hosts bi-monthly potlucks at locals' homes and regular gatherings to discuss current issues facing the GLBT community. We also host summer hiking and winter ski days.
The RFGLCF's renewed commitment to charitable endeavors finds us expanding the services and fundraising we do on a year-round basis. If you would like to join us in our efforts or if you have questions regarding the RFGLCF, its mission or its events, please contact us at (970) 925.4123 www.rfglcf.com or send an e-mail to Bryan Gonzales our new Director of Programs.
